Ordinance (2006:1273) on producers' responsibility for packaging

The Purpose of this Ordinance is:

• that packaging be produced in such a way that its volume and weight are limited to the level required in order to maintain a high level of safety and hygiene.
• that producers arrange systems for the collection of all packaging waste that arises and that is attributable to the producers.
• that packaging waste be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.
• to meet the recycling objectives for collected packaging waste stipulated in Appendix 1 of this Ordinance.
